Artist Bio

  • Short Bio (50-100 words) – Ideal for social media, exhibition catalogs, or introductions in publications.

  • Standard Bio (150-300 words) – Works well for websites, artist statements, and grant applications.

  • Extended Bio (400+ words) – Suitable for press kits, in-depth artist interviews, or personal blogs.


It should be concise, engaging, and highlight key aspects of the artist’s background, influences, and accomplishments. This is your time to be proud.

Include THREE images to represent you as an artist.

  3. Creative image of artist.

All will be included in your online bio.

  • Ensure that all submissions, including canvases, prints, or framed works, are ready for installation [wired backs or hooks to hang art]

  • No AI art*

  • Work entered must be in the original medium [that is, not a scanned reproduction of a painting, drawing, etc.)

  • Artists are limited to uploading FIVE digital image [Upload images and/or video that best represents your art]

  • Do NOT attempt to submit folders of artwork

  • It is suggested that artwork be protected by a sturdy frame. Frames should be made of wood or metal. No plastic “snap on” or metal frames that can easily come apart are to be used. All artwork, except paintings in oil or acrylic on canvas, must be protected by Plexiglas or glass. Plexiglas is preferred. 


*Creating art using artificial intelligence is acceptable when it contributes to a larger artistic conversation. For example, integrating a portion generated by an AI text generator into a mixed-media artwork is permissible. However, solely relying on AI to generate art without personal creative input or effort is not deemed appropriate.

Disclaimer

All artworks must be on display and cannot be removed from the exhibition/show for the entire duration.

Art must be ready for viewing by designated date and time.

Artists should attend openings and frequently visit gallery during exhibition/show.


LIABILITY WAIVER: Artist agrees to release, indemnify, defend and hold harmless Bee+Hive Artist Collective and its officers, clients, agents, and employees from and against any and all liabilities, claims, penalties, losses, or [hidden] expenses incurred (including attorney's fees), of any kind or nature whatsoever, whether related to bodily injury, property damage, or any other form of injury or loss whether or not caused by any negligent act or omission of the Bee+Hive Artist Collective or its officers, clients, agents, or employees, arising out of or in any way related to participation in activities related to this agreement.


INSURANCE:  Bee+Hive Artist Collective do not provide insurance for Artist’s artwork or objects belonging to Artist. Artist is strongly encouraged to provide their own insurance for Artist’s artwork or objects belonging to Artist.


PUBLICITY: Bee+Hive Artist Collective assume the right to photograph the artwork at any stage of this agreement. The Bee+Hive Artist Collective assume the right to reproduce photographs of the Artist’s work for historic documentation, educational and publicity purposes and for use in any print, broadcast, or electronic format.


SALES: The sale price revenue from any sale of any art related to this agreement will be divided as follows: Artist receives 70% and the venue receives 30%. All sales will be handled through the venue. The Bee+Hive Artist Collective will not be involved in the sale of the art in any way.


I CERTIFY I HAVE READ AND UNDERSTAND THIS AGREEMENT AND APPLICABLE LIABILITY WAIVER AND AGREE TO COMPLY WITH THE CONDITIONS STATED THEREIN.
